Buying a K10D

If you want to know why you wont find a "new" K10D anymore, just look back through the forum to the time when they were freshly discontinued. Look for posts by Chris@SRS. He was buying up old stock wherever he could find it and still selling out faster than he could find them.

The K10D is a fantastic camera, but if you want one 2nd hand is the only way you'll get it now.

I've just purchased a new K20 from www.precision-camera.com in Austin Texas.

I bought it in the store, but they do excellent mail order..

At $799 that's no steal IMO although I guess you dodge sales tax, shipping $30? Then import and VAT will make it more expensive than in Argos or J&A in Barnstaple who do them at £599 and as a Pro centre you get the 2 year warranty.

I've checked it out but I'm waiting on another K10D thats someone has mentioned. I'm just considering my options at the moment.

Looks like I could have my hands on my first Pentax DSLR within a fortnight
