I very much like the dilapidated cinema. What was showing?

The Dacians would have turned in their graves to have seen this cinema. There really was no other way but BW to protray this.
Well captured, as is No 3.

A fine set, Kris. That cinema is wonderful and, I guess, on borrowed time before the future cathes up with the country. Gritty reportage.
Best wishes,
Andrew

Who said captions were not required? This is an example of the contrary, imho. Although the images are very good on their own, the captions just add that little extra to them.
Best regards

Interesting point.Who said captions were not required? This is an example of the contrary, imho. Although the images are very good on their own, the captions just add that little extra to them.
I think I'd agree with the first one. I find that I'm actually quite liking the way Kris reinforces the irony with his caption. Otherwise, it would have taken me longer to see the significance and I might have looked away before seeing it.
With the second one, I'd disagree. The comic effect is so obvious that the caption is IMO entirely unnecessary, and detracts rather than adding. A bit like when Americans make an ironic joke, and then ruin it completely by tacking 'just kidding' on the end.
With the third one, I can't comment, since I have no idea what it's about, even with the caption. Though I find the composition a bit contrived.
I very much like the irony in the first two, though.

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.
