Some years I find colour dominates my images but this year black & white was how I visualised most of the woodland shots. Nothing spectacular here, but enjoyable to take.

3 6 and 7 my fav's. There's something about monochrome - is it K-3 3 monochrome that's brought black and white into focus?

As always, Gareth, like Antony, there is something about monochrome. And you do that so well. Looking at the first two, I was wondering if they would benefit from some lightening up of the image?

Not sure Gareth would want to take credit for these photos Kevin I take your point about lightening up, but I've tried to keep them reasonably close to how I saw the scene - I've already lifted the shadows quite a bit and feel that the darker areas lend to the final image. Having said that here is an another version that may be to your taste (or maybe not)...

Oh, poop! I am so sorry, and also highly, and I stress highly, embarrassed. I'd been looking at some of Gareth's (outstanding) images and then came to your contributions, the mono of which I thought were awesome.

Will now shuffle off stage left, red of face and looking down at the floor mumbling, 'I'm an idiot, I'm an idiot...'

P.S. The image you provided is awesome. I really like that. So much better.
