Bournemouth Wheels 2014 (Image heavy, Petrol Heads only)

This weekend saw Bournemouth's first Wheels festival which consisted of different cars and bikes on display and in motion. I took hundreds of pictures over the 2 days LINK but here are a few of my favourites.

A nice selection, a real shame there is no sound with them

All good. What did you take them with? I see you've cunningly removed the EXIF, what are you hiding?

Also, why is there a darker patch above the guy's back in the one of the BMX bike?

Hiding nothing Chris, if you click on the flickr link under each picture it should show the exif. They were all taken with the K-5II and a combination of the 18-135mm/50-135mm/60-250mm

Not sure what the dark patch is tbh, just looked at the original and it's there as well.

That's weird then, what could it be?? The sky's a pretty uniform blue.

Mmmm, it's not in this one.

Have a look at the histograms... the patch is suspiciously close to the overexposed bit on his back in the first one, and the second one seems less overexposed.

Or am I imagining that?

Not that I can imagine how a patch of overexposure would affect the nearby pixels...

A vibrant and sharp set, Mike. You were blessed with some sunshine, I see.

EXIF is weird: some processing techniques seem to strip it out, I've noticed.

All good, some are a bit tight on the framing, e.g. #2 in particular.

I love #7 and #9, great shots, all the others are good but these are my favourites.

I can't help looking at the GT40's

Sloppy editing on my part, cheers for the heads up ... have fixed it on the Flickr page.

A good set Mike. Nos 3 & 5 stand out for me.

1. The Dodge is a photogenic car and he's spinning those back tyres. A shame you didn't give us a little more of the smoke.
2. Is a great close crop and nice to see that vintage blue on the screen.
3. Shame it wasn't a girl or, if it was, Sorry ma'am.
4. Nice pan...I'm scared to try that. Don't think I have the co-ordination
5. Nice use of mono, what a shame that ugly metal fence was there.
6. Another good pan of a photogenic car, Clarkson's achiles heel.
7. Not there
8. My favourite. Don't know if it's the colours or the life given to it by the sand being thrown up but def floats my boat
9. Nicely framed shot of a curvy beaut.
10. Looks a little cross processed? Might of looked better if the picture hadn't been age identified by the cones and fencing.
