Give me a few days, Gareth.

And a few days for me, too, please.
Having lived in a seaside town for 10 years and not being far from it even now (went there yesterday) I recognise what you want to show. My never forgotten memory of an exploratory visit prior to moving there (due to job) was of old folk sitting silently in shelters looking out to a misty sea. Still chose to live there, though. And later found out that the visit had been during old-folks' fortnight which followed school holidays each year - lower prices, no families but often poor weather.

An excellent collection of images Gareth, that tell the story of faded glory.
I remember the "rose tinted" view from my own childhood of such resorts, and the disappointment on re-visiting as an adult.
I like the way you have used vibrant colour which evoked my long distant memories, and the sea-gull's feast is an excellent and humorous shot.

Thanks all, take all the time you need
I did post this on another forum and got some feedback with repetition and ordering so I've done a rejigged version that is here. Hopefully you haven't started to digest version 1!
Thanks

PM sent - it's a bit straight to the point but it's near 1am here and I'm tired I enjoyed the pictures - there was even a bit of humour in there - I think.

Thanks all, I've read your DMs and will reply soon. After covid I've contracted a bug thats knocked me for 6 and haven't got it in me yet to reply to you all with a detailed message. Seems I've missed Christmas and New Year, were they good?!

So sorry to hear this, Gareth. I know I won't be alone in wishing you a speedy recovery.

Getting there now, I've been prescribed steroids now to help with my chest as it's pretty painful, especially in my upper back but I've got a day left on them and it's not really helped or got better, just lingering about. I'm gutted as I'm itching to get out and shoot! All in all I'm coming up to a month now and I'm proper peeped off!
I've handed my project in to uni now 'as is' as the deadline is Monday and I've got a critical catalogue to complete instead of a dissertation that's due in in 2 weeks time.
Thing when you're ill is it kinda knocks the wind out of your sails and you lose the mojo!

I know deadlines are deadlines but just ensure you take a little rest here and there. You will get more done that way. .... and Good Luck !

Just wondering if people could cast their eyes over it more so for the images and how I've grouped them together. The PDF is as double page spreads so images that are next to each other are meant to be read together.
As a recap, these images are more so about my childhood memories of Barry Island. As a child on day trips with my parents, I saw here with rose tinted glasses but as I've got older and that childhood gaze has lifted, I'm greeted with an alternative Barry Island. These images are like my feelings in images and all centre around When The Fun Stops.

Thanks
