Not really had much chance to use the K-1 lately but hopefully now the sun is shining I can get out a bit more. Just a few recent shots anyway.

Some nice shots Mike. The emu shows some gorgeous colours/ the swans in flight is fab too. Was Sam aware of you taking the picture? Got a couple of nice catch lights bringing life to the eyes.

Well we know now that it was worth keeping the camera, and not just for rainy days. I know the 150-450 has a reputation as a beast, but it's clearly paired up beautifully with the K1 when in the right hands!

I've been on that bizarre contraption along the pier at Hyth , and your image is really evocative of the barren and spacious industrial environment there.

If you could, I'd suggest toning down the saturation on the background behind the Emu, as it pulls on the eye .... Something like the soft green bit in behind the dog would be perfect I think....

I like the shot of the pier and the natural portrait of Sam. Of course Finlay is a magnificent hound, I love his face and those eyes.

Thanks for the comments

Yes he was, unusually for him he didn't see the camera and break out into some silly face

He has just turned 10 ... time flies doesn't it. Thing is he often runs out into the back garden with one of Sams old trucks and throws it around for ages just like he used to do with the water bottles when we lived in Spain.

Must admit I did that on purpose, maybe I went a bit over kill on it though

Thanks again.

Thats a great shot of the Emu, a stupid bird when you come across them on the road, they tend to run with you

Nice pics Mike, I really like the Robin one, perched ahead of the early spring brown/green-ness.

Thanks Haris, that's my favourite as well .. to me the Robin has that 3D effect where it looks about to leap out of the picture.
