Blotches. Any thoughts?

Looks like stuff floating on the water surface. They're sharper closer to the bird.

Not sure Haris if he's talking about the stuff floating in the pond or there seems to be a touch of flare maybe or something on the lens, roughly mid wing on both shots.
As Haris said, the green bits are of course perfectly natural.
I know what i like, If not always why.

Of course we'll mind you, someone has to

Doesn't look like moire to me, looks lens related ( I could easily be wrong though ), have you tried taking the lens off and shining a light through to see if it shows up anything ???

If you mean the circular smudges immediately behind the bird they look like sensor dust to me. Go outside and find a blue patch of sky or white cloud. Stop down to f16 or 22 and take some pictures. If the marks appear in the same pattern on each shot your sensor needs a clean. try a rocket blower first.

I think we need the OP to highlight where these blotches are, as it seems there's a variety of options/suggestions.

Thanks for your thoughts folks, and apologies for the lack of info/detail in the first post. I put it up here in a bit of a hurry, and I've only just got to a PC. (I can't do typing on a 'phone)
I initially hadn't made a distinction between the marks in the background, and the marks on the birds wing. Looking a bit harder, and considering the replies so far, I'm inclined to think that the large number of blotches are indeed things floating on the water.
I don't think it's dust or marks on the sensor, as it's in different locations in the frame, and it's only this handful of pics that they show up on.
The marks on the birds wing could well be lens related, eg flare, as suggested. There was no filter attached to the lens and a hood was being used at the time.
I don't have the lens to hand, but I'll give it a good going over when I can.
Cheers folks.

I've only just got around to looking properly at them, and while most are OK, there's a sequence of about 6 shots that have odd random blotches on them. Hopefully they're visible on the images attached.
Any thoughts? Cheers.
