Have been playing and would like your opinion as I think I may have got carried away with my own amazement. CC requested and hoped for.

1/ is the original straight from the K-7

2/ is my effort at a mono, not really into mono and still floundering a bit – blue seemed to work best.

3/ told you I got carried away this can only be called ‘altered’ I liked it at first but now I am not too sure

I really like the second blue one more so than the original, a bit unconvential but it works for me. Not so sure about the altered version though, jury's out on that one at the moment.

The lovely subtle colours are the best feature of the picture, so getting rid of them smacks of babies and bathwater.

Couldn't have put it better George. Just because you can doesn't mean you should! But then each to his and her own but it's not to my taste.

I agree with George and mikew, No.1 for me and I would try and clone out the stem in the top L/H corner. Its against a white back ground so it shouldn't be too hard.

The blue tint that No.2 has just doesn't work for me, it feels a little cold, a different tint may have worked better maybe.

No.3 Is definiately not to my taste. I dont really like that kind of effect usless its processed further in to a sort of re-coloured / half tone / pop art effect, Andy Warhol style.

I don't won't to become a sheep (although I'm already a sheephead) and blah like the rest did so...

The third photo might work if you take it even further, yes further!
The problem is that you know what it is and can still see it but if you go so far that it becomes abstract then it might work.
To be honest I've no idea if it works but it would be interesting to see what more you can do with the photo.
