Know what you mean Alan! Fiona took a shot of the distant reed beds and didn't know there was a bittern in the shot until we got home!!
Am currently in my little portable hide lying on frozen marsh land hoping he will come out in front of me, just hope that I get the shot I want before sunset!

I hope you're lucky with that shot Danny - great work on the others!
I have yet to catch one of these on camera - the ones at Rutland Water just taugnt me with their bellowing from in the reed beds!

Bucks.
We had no sunshine at all this afternoon and not the greatest view from the hide so these were shot through the reeds at 4000 ISO, F6.3, 1/60s @ 600mm!
Have put some up in the gallery here and hoping that my plans for tomorrow work out for some better shots! Will add to the blog at a later date as this is hopefully a work in progress.
