just to say thanks for a good evening (yesterday) at Bassetts Pole. During the meet I came up with a suggestion about getting down to Swanage (Dorset) before the end of March. So, I thought it much easier to "broadcast" the dates that I have available in this forum.
The idea being that once dates are agreed upon we then make our arrangements to book up at the BnB's (seg ...in Park Road, Swanage)...whichever weekend dates are agreed upon it is my intention to travel down on the Friday (immediately before the weekend in question) then stay over Friday and Saturday night, then leave sometime on Sunday -I have found this to be the best way
btw, if we need to exchange mobile phones etc , let's do that im the user messages - not in here

2 things guys.
1. there's another meet set up on Fri 16th Jan, 7.30pm at Bassetts again (just in case my msgs haven't got to you). Primarlity to introduce Vikram and John. "I'll be there" (no, I'm not a Four Tops fan either)
2. I DEFINATELY intend going down to Swanage and I'd really love to get some dates sorted quickly. So, if you can all attend of the 16th that would be great - we can sort things out then!

no room, it's just a Harvester pub. We shall meet up in the lounge/bar at 7.30(ish).

now, with reference to the Swanage excursion, I have decided to book up for the 28th Feb 2009/1st March 2009. I shall bok up in a couple of days or so. anyone interested ?

Ive had to cancel my booking for Swanage (works is moving premises etc).
I am now turning my attention to more local venues (this excludes my forthcoming regular trips to wales of course)....such as....
lichfield cathedral
cannock chase
deer reserves
derbyshire et c
