Went to Bird World on Saturday, saw only one other Pentax user. I stuck with my Tamron 70-300 throughout the day and was not disappointed with the results. Here are a selection of an Eagle Owl. Comments and preferences welcom...

Very good captures - except they look just a little underexposed.

I like the expressions and the close-up effect.

They do look a bit dark. My fav is #3, nice angle.

yes, all a bit dark on my screen and yellow (or deeply overcast)
I like number 3 too, very comical and cute. if you are able to move the crop I would move the owl slight further into the picture. (to the left)

Classic, forgot to look at the histogram!

Thanks all for the comments, I will correct the exposure. No 3 is as taken, no cropping, so can't do much about that.
