Bird ID please

We've had a few of these about in recent weeks. Does anybody know what they are? The closest I can find is a Serin, except the legs are the wrong colour.

I hadn't checked for any typically British birds as these are in southern Spain.

Perhaps the very cold winter you've had has driven these further south than normal.

There are some like that in this area. (Old coal mining district)
When the mines closed canaries were released (or escaped whilst mining was active)into the wild and apparently mated with sparrows.
