I too would like to confirm that it is indeed a bird.

I've only ever seen a redwing once before.

I know what i like, If not always why.

The clue is the red colour, on the wing (and the eye stripe!)
Lots fieldfares and a few redwings in the fields today, probably because it was minus 6 degrees lat night.

Strictly speaking it is orange - as we should also call the Robin "orange breast"!
The red (orange) is much more obvious when they fly - in the last hard winter a few years back, we had a whole flock of them resident in town for about 6 weeks.

Great shots. Redwing's are pretty rare to capture.
