Canon do a 'try before you buy' service where you upload a photo, they print it with your chosen printer(s) and then send the prints to you.

Yep they do Dan, I tried it with their 9000 and 9500 A3 printers - only problem is its only a 6*4 print and I wasn't impressed. I'd want it A4 to properly judge.
One bonus though they've a promotion on and they did send me a coupon to send back with my original receipt for my printer and returned me the receipt along with 40 sheets of PP101 Canon paper
I think this was on any Canon PIXMA printer bought before the end of Feb - but you'd have to check with Canon.

Its just fantastic - only A4 but prints off it are terrific - and only £56 in the USED/NEW section.
Its got 2 separate blacks and the B&W prints off it are great IMHO.
Just printed this and it looks great on Canon's Photo paper PP101.
1/400 f5.6 100 10mm (Sigma 10-20)
