Janitor vs Author. Hubby has written a book that he is trying to get published. Having watched him put in 3 years of mentally hard work only to get numerous rejects is something I wouldn't want to go through. But would he give it up to be a janitor - never

(I appreciate that being unpublished he is not strictly an author.)

Let us put a value on the list - £0 or $0 -
Am I being cynical? No, I don't think so.
The list gave a single position for Psychologist with Low, Mid-level, and High salaries - and figures in dollars.
Now the American Psychological Association have 32 different divisions, which means that they recognize 32 different types of Psychologist.
AND
Mid-level is not a recognized statistical term (Mean, Median and Mode are).
I guess that this list would fill up a page in a tabloid, and end up lining the bottom of a bird-cage (and be more use there).
Just because I have taken work-related photos (and hence been paid for so doing) does not make me any sort of professional photographer (and we have had a debate on the value of that term).
If I asked you "Would you like to take photographs for a living" I bet most folk reading this would reply "Yes" followed by "How much?", followed by "Where?", followed by "What's the deal?", and the wrong answer to any question would immediately kill the interest.
Any job has it's bad side - see Don's comment above about "Bridezilla".
So, now tell me, what is the list really worth?
Water can wear away a stone - but it can't cook lunch

Lenses Digital: 50-200, 18-55 KAF: 28-80.
Lenses KA & K: SMC-KA f2.0, SMC-K f1.4, SMC-K f1.7 Tokina KA 28-70 , SMC Pentax 70-210 F4, Sigma KA 75-300 , Hanimex 500mm Mirror, and the Tamron Adaptall-2 stuff.
and then there's all the M42 kit, and the accessories ...

I'm quite happy in my present job, and glad to see it listed as the second frop top (software engineer).

It is easier, I think, to have a fixed job with a monthly income on my bank account and have photography as a hobby.
