I've found Glover and Howe to be really good.

But if you are only buying a K30 and a kit lens (for now anyway) you might find that your household policy may cover you. Have a check through your policy documents (carefully) or give them a call. If they charge you extra it may not be much.

In either case, pay careful attention to the details such as where and when you're covered.

There are other insurance companies, but if you are buying on price only, take a look at this.

Try your house contents insurance cover first, my contents cover includes my camera equipment at home or out and about, accident damage or theft, up to £2000.00, on any one item. This did not increase the house contants insurance premium cost at all.

Take care.

I have it covering my video camera but i don't know if it will cover it outside. I might join Pentax forum as a full member as well

My camera kit is covered on the 'All Risks' section of my house insurance. This covers things taken out of the house and can be increased as needs be to cover the value. Much cheaper than separate insurance but you must check the details of your cover as each policy can offer different cover.

You really need to read the policy documents to check the cover provided. Same goes for any stand alone insurance, you generally get what you pay for but there can be savings on combined policies.

My contents insurance (pretty much bog standard) covers mine anywhere in the UK and in Europe for a slight extra payment (usually just take it for a month at a time)
