Best Bags

I use a Lowepro Vertex300 which are excellent.They also make smaller from the same range the 200 and the 100.

There are plenty of bags around and it is quite tricky to choose. A few points I will impart from my 2 years experience with the K10d will hopefully help you to choose the right bag:

1) The amount of equipment you have will grow the more you learn so try to buy for the future

2) More equipment in the bag makes it heavy and bulky so start to think about what you really need in the bag when you pack it for a trip

3) Try out the different bags first as they always look different on the web

4) Slingshot, backpack, shoulder bag all feel very different so you must try them on and find out what is comfortable depending on how long you intend to carry the bag

I have the Lowepro Slingshot 200AW as my walk around and a bigger Crumpler rucksack with a 17" laptop compartment for my travelling but I pack my Lowepro in my carry on as I use it for walk around when I land and travel.

I am finding the 200AW is slightly small because I tend to carry all my lenses if I can. That is due to my inexperience I hope

Also, don't forget you will need space for things like chargers, flash guns, memory cards, power adaptors etc. They don't take up much space individually but together it all adds up and you start wondering where all the space went. Granted, you don't need chargers in the bag but I like to have all my gear in one place to save me forgetting them at home or in the hotel room.
