Best action case for K10D??

Please can you recommend make, model and size of a pedded camera case for my K10D and Pentax 16-45 to meet following requirements

Needs to have sufficient padding to protect camera/lens;

But compact enough not to get in way when climbing/skiing etc, ie snug fit and no superfluous accessory pockets etc;

Needs to have option for belt attachment enabling bag to be slid from hip to behind back, and also detachable neck/shoulder strap;

What would be really useful is an internal fixing loop to secure camera strap (or strong cord to one or both camera strap fixing points) to protect against dropping camera without having to put camera strap around my neck before using it.

I need this to get more, and hopefully much better shots like my Vulture and ice climbing pics here

I've got a lowepro rezo tlz 20. has strong velcro belt loop and D ring attachment points outside.

Take my k10 and 55- 200 lens

I use this for mountain biking but don't rely on the velcro loop, i put the bag strap through my backpack straps so there are several attachment points. Saying that it takes a lot of force to pull open the velcro.

If you live near a CAMERA STORE go in and look at their options and feel which one is best, and remember 1/4 for new stuff.

Definitely agree, I have the 200AW. The AW stands for all weather, as they have a little waterproof cover that pops out of a pocket underneath. I was caught in a torrential rainstorm, and it didn't let a drop in.

An, as mentioned previously, it'll fit a body and at least 4 lenses.. plus pockets for your bits and pieces.

Thanks for all th esuggestions, but they are just too bulky for the requiremnts I listed above, ie just to protect and carry SLR with attached lens, no additional pockets etc

I don't have the kata, but I use the op-tech for protection whilst walking around. I suspect that you need something like the kata holster with fewer pockets!
