Goodness, the BBC is funded by UK licence payers, what a cheek of the BBC to attempt to block their web content to those who fund it.

Well how weird is that? I assumed being a Beeb link you would be able to read it. I am used to not being able to access BBC stuff because I am not in the UK, but I've never heard of those in the UK having problems!

Anyway the article is about cloud computing, the risks involved, and the fact that so many people never read the T&C before using such services. It points out you are using a cloud even when you may not be aware of it - Kindle for instance uses a cloud.
It talks about how the owners of these clouds track you, sell your information, may have to allow the government of the country in which the cloud is based access to your data, even when you live in another country which doesn't allow such access. They cut you off without warning, or just plain close down losing you everything stored on that cloud. All in the small print no-one bothers to read.
It also refers to a company called SocialSafe who have made software which will automatically download onto your computer everything you have in the cloud, from Kindle books to g-mail to Twitter, Facebook , LinkedIn and yes Flickr.
