Cheers guys, your feedback is appreciated, John Im not so sure about the steady hand or eye bit, or the getting results that you cant either
Roger and Irek thank you
cheers Haris I didnt know how to work it out.
I really struggled with focus on these, genuinely, my ringflash diffuser blocks damn near all the light at that magnification, there is a little button on the bellows that when released opens the aperture but when pressed steps down to whatever is set on the lens, that was needed to allow some light in, but means its still fairly dark and wide open when trying to focus. Realistically i need to re-modify my modified ringflash, to include some sort of constant light as I took about 36 shots to get about 6 that I am happy with, just too dark at that level of extension, I am surprised at the detail i am getting, on ff for macro
Its all good and interesting and as ever I am enjoying experimenting
Thanks again,
Derek

The centipede is phenomenal! How you manage to hand hold a DSLR and bellows and lens and not shake is beyond me.

Cheers David.
Holding it is the easy part, focusing through the view finder not so easy.
I brace the camera against my head and support the bellows rail.
Often end up with just missing the part I'm trying to focus on, by just a tad.
Flash helps too of course.
