Britain in Focus: a Photographic History is the title of the programme. Episode 2 is on BBC4 tonight at 9.00pm.

Episode 1 was quite interesting looking at the development of the science behind the camera and the film plus the uses the medium developed upto the early 1900's

They took away BBC4 from our cable, so I will miss them . Not that I could have watched it without recording it - Man U are on the telly tonight. I have retreated as far as I can get from it.

Sadly I can't use iPlayer either. I am hoping one of the Dutch broadcasters picks them up, or maybe the Belgians.

oh that is so sad. So I will not talk about them again!

However Simon it looks like we are getting a nice tv series about our interest at last

Watched the first episode and am looking forward to the rest of the series. Last Thursday (9th April) we had a guy giving a talk on pinhole photography, he displayed some very good images which were hard to imagine taken with just a box with a hole in it. Had me wanting to try this.
