I use Ex-Pro batteries on my K3 and on a Sony A77M2. They work perfectly and appear to have the same capacity as the originals. They are available on eBay and Amazon. Try one and you will soon be ordering a second one!

Fair enough but the ones I have are fine and I would still buy them again though I will check out the DSTE batteries.

For my K5 I have a Maxsima foto 1860mAh which outlasts the Pentax original and two Energizer 1500mAh which have also proved to be reliable. The Energizer packaging, if carefully opened, is robust and reusable time and again, keeping your spare batteries clean and dry.

I've always bought cheap no-name back-up batteries off Ebay and they've all, without exception, worked well on all brands of camera. They last just as long as the originals, in fact, I alternate between them and never know which I'm using at the time.

That's an amazing total of eight batteries, and I'm wondering why you need eight batteries? For each camera we really only need two Pentax batteries, although I use three as total overkill when shooting weddings and other all day events. In practice a battery will last a full day's shoot, just maybe having to move late afternoon to the second one. Are you routinely using Live View? Maybe that would be a reason for needing more batteries?
