Battery Grip

I just recieved my D-BG2 battery grip for my K20D. I must say it is really great to have it on the camera. The complete unit is nicely balanced with or without a battery in the grip.

For me it is allso easier to hold the camera in landscape position since the total grip area is increased so that my right hand fits a little better on the camera.

Only when holding the camera for a very long time it can become a little on the heavy side. K20D + grip + 16-45 is about 1,6kg. This weight does help to stabilize the camera more.

For me there are two points which could be improved, the backside of the grip, where your thumb rests, could be padded in the same rubber as is used on K20D. The second thing is that the rear e-dial could be placed more like it is on the K20D/K10D so you can turn it more easily.
