Basic lens for K1

I used one for years with my K10 as a medium/long walkabout zoom and never did it disappoint. I got the D-FA 24-70 when I bought the K1 and so had no real need for the FA24-90 so I sold mine. In retrospect I should have kept it as it provided a lighter alternative to the 24-70.
Don't be put off by the metal/plastic construction, the optics are excellent.

Don't you find the FA24-90 noisy on Digital. Mine is OK on the MZ-S but I was thinking of converting it to drive screws into wood with the K-5.... Seems to have similar torque to a 40,000 rpm 100V electric drill

The 24mm end is surprisingly good and the colour seemed decent too on my copy. Like the guys before, I sold it because I got one of the newer D-FA zooms (28-105).
I've got the primes for the wider end so I was happy to make a bit of money by selling the lens.

All the gear with no idea

Another vote here for the 24-90... I’m lucky enough to have the DFA 24-70 (which is fabulous btw) but I travel a lot for work so often use the 24-90 as part of a lightweight travel kit (in conjunction with the 55-300 PLM, and A 20 2.8 ) which I can pretty much take anywhere... I love it... when I found mine (about 5 yrs ago) they were changing hands for between £140 and £190ish dep on condition etc... not sure what the going rate is now, but that shld give you a starting point...

Best I can see on eBAY ATM is around £220 from Japan - nothing in the UK.
K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)
