Barn Owl

Most are cropped slightly, I never crop smaller than 6mp (3000x2000) so I know I can get a decent print of at least A4 size.

The 300mm does get you close enough, I watched the Owl hunting for a few evenings and noted it's regular route back to it's nest and placed myself on that route and waited, like most wildlife photography it's more about getting to know your subject, planning and patience.

And most importantly not disturbing your subject.
