Barbed wire

Took this today on RAW, import through Adobe ACR where I did fiddle with the sharpness settings a little but nothing else. Resize/unsharp mask and save as JPEG. I'm very pleased with everything - it may be a crap photo but everything just came together. All the faults are mine - not enough DOF (f2.4 on a 35 fairly close).





I usually muck about with levels etc. Not this time. I think it needs a crop but hey.

The DOF has let the grey wire crossing the rusty section slip too far out of focus for me.

I thought it was my glasses at first. Apart from that not a bad shot.

Where to crop?

I haven't a clue!

I totally agree but at the time I was concentrating on getting a suitably out of focus background. Well that's my excuse and I am disappointed that bit of wire really distracts the eye.

I shall play with some crops. I do so love the way this lens renders blues and in this case greens.

I agree with the colours, superb.

Which lens is it?

Pentax 35mm f2 FA (not the macro one is the way to think of it!). It is my favourite lens by a long way - it seems to have no weaknesses at all.
