You'd get on well with my oldest son. He heads off to an island alone to avoid Christmas.

I can quite understand you will be fed up with it by the time it arrives, putting up all those trees!
One is bad enough, and that doesn't go up until just before Christmas, if at all.

I have got the Christmas card photo done and the cards on order though!

PS what do you do that you have to put up so many trees??

Ah, that explains it.

I know someone who works at a garden centre and hates Christmas - their display goes up at the end of September, complete with Christmas music played all day long. I would be completely round the bend by the end of the first week (a short journey it's true ).

The worst thing in retail is when you get to Christmas Eve the shop has to be stripped and the Sales put out ready for Boxing Day so having endured weeks of Noddy Holder and ghastly kitsch when you actually get to Christmas the festive spirit has gone!

Unfortunately, one of the biggest local and privately-owned garden centres went up in flames (total loss) a few days ago - a great shame because they worked hard to resuscitate it from being a rundown Wyevale place 14 yrs ago to what it was (very good and friendly) a week ago. Probably because some cheap imported Xmas decorations caught fire due to "cr*p" and unsafe "non-proper CE" stuff (saw some of that last Xmas in my hairdresser's).
K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)
