Backing up Lightroom ?

Hello

My comp needs a serious restart, with formatting win-drive etc.

But what do I do with Lightroom ?

How can I backup all the tags ? Is there a way to just backup all of the things that I have done in Lightroom.

All my pics are on a external drive, so that is no problem ?

Just copy the compete My images map( incl.the map Lightroom, which contains all the data) to the external drive.
After you have installed all software, but before you install lightroom, copy back the my images map to it's old place.
When LR is installed it automatic finds the catalogue map LR.

Piece of cake.

Just make sure your PEF files aren't moved to an other place.

Make sure you make a copy of the catalog file as well. It has a .lrcat extension.
