Autumn sunrise - does it work for you?

I went out early Friday morning to photograph the castle at Llangollen but the lighting wasn't what I was hoping - I took this shot whilst there anyway, does it work for you?

Sadly, no. You are normally adept at being in the right place at the right time, but this wasn't your day. It's OK, but it's not up to your usual standard.

Not every scenery must shine in bright colors. I like the soft light and the stripes: the woods lines horizontal and sunrays from up.

I find it a bit...dare I say "bland"? it needs a bit more contrast and saturation or going the other way and turning it into a B&W. Apart from that I quite like the composition and suns rays breaking through the clouds.

I dont know how you'd fare with increasing the contrast though as there already looks to be burned out areas in the clouds.

It looks interesting, but seems to be a bit... dull? Like there was some kind of haze which desaturated colours. Plus the large hi-vis watermark distracting me. I like the sun rays, but I wish the picture was more vivid / contrasty / saturated.

Sky looks great, but the rest needs more umph - more light and colour would set the sky off very well. Overall, it doesn't work for me - sorry

Think it is one of those occasions when it is not possible to catch the feeling of what was there, I want to wipe the window to get a better view. There is just a little too much of the mistiness for me covering what looks a great image.

Me too A bit washed out in my opinion, some more contrast might help. Like the god rays a lot, perfect timing there Unfortunately I also agree with Michal, that your watermark is very large and quite distracting. Is it necessary on an image this small?
