Please let me know, and also why. I know 'like' is very subjective so I won't get upset...... much.

OK then, its the one you posted on here, basically I cant tell what it is I am supposed to be looking at, maybe its better full size, or maybe I need my eyes testing, I dunno? it just didnt push any buttons for me.

Now you know why I didn't want to say which, cos' I assume you think its the best being the one you posted here.

I hadn't checked out the full link up to now but I can see what Spider is saying. There's a simplicity about all the other images and the colours are restful and easy on the eye - nice shots!

Well guys, the image in my post is of the roots of a fallen tree. i liked the way the light glowed around the edges, reminded me of some hubble pics of that nebula.

It's not my favourite, but I do like it.

I appreciate you telling me.

If it's any consolation, aj, I knew exactly what it was and liked it straight away
Your other pics are good too although the blue grass doesn't do a great deal for me but I have to agree that your simple approach really does work.
I sometimes think that we're too analytical, great images are often thought provoking and demand close inspection but the most pleasing are usually the ones that just 'look right' and don't require too much effort of the viewer.

See! Ner ner-ner ner!

Thanks for the input guys, I don't expect everyone to like everything I do, but it is nice to have positive feedback on what I consider to be a good image.

Too right mate

There is a photo in today's Mail of a guy feeding a Robin by holding a worm in his mouth. It probably offends ever rule in the book, especially as it is newsprint, but it is a great picture. The guy took 4 years patiently encouraging it

It would be nice to see it on the screen

Graham
Keep up the good work

I'll think of something someday.

Anyone can bone up on f-stops and exposures and learn to take technically correct photos. Anyone can learn the rules of composition.

You cannot learn "flair". Just close your eyes and "feel the force, Luke". Oh, and in photography, the dark side is referred to as underexposure
