I'm not 100% on the identity of this fellow but i couldn't find any specific reference to it.
But i like the pose

Pictures like that are the reason I want a decent macro lens.

Yeah... Clarky's camera (and lens) does take a cracking photo...

Well I presume it would be pretty difficult to do without (the lens) no matter what the skill of the user.

Was this with the new K20D / Sigma 180 combo? Nice pose but not quite as sharp and detailed as some of your other recent pics...

I think Clarky's got some kind of weird circus, full of trained insects.....
I got the tools, the know-how, but am sorely lacking in the patience department....
Anybody interested in seeing a series of well lit, well composed, macro shots of insects that have had the shoe/newspaper treatment? They sit real still....
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

It was with the K10 and the pentax D-FA. Its not one of my sharpest shots but i liked the pose
