Having said that - the only bid is for 25 Rand ( about £2.02 !! ) so I`ve put it on watch - could be interesting

I did have the K bayonet version, it was excellent. Of course, on the top of a stable enough tripod...

I used to have K400/5.6 sold it (stupidly enough) some time ago.
For what it was (£150 30 years old telephoto) it was excellent. Big and heavy, but sharp enough wide open, and great at f8.
The only problems were CAs and PF. In certain condition, the optical construction of this lens would show. So for example shooting swans on dark background or bird against backlit tree branches would produce kind of psychedelic look, but other than that it was really great lens.
Should have never sold it

This was taken with the aid of a FG540FGZ, Better Beamer, Sidekick mount and a cut down ME focusing screen using a K200D in manual mode at near the minimum focusing distance of the lens. These parents and their chick are used to people moving around so they stood and posed for me.

When you look at this persons buying record, he bought this lens on the 3 December for R1810.00. Wonder why he is selling? The price is now at R1037.00

Maybe they are one and the same as they both come from Mussel Bay?
I saw a BIN on eBay for $200.00 including postage and a Canon chipped adapter or Pentax adapter. There were no takers and he did not re-list.
