Arty Leaf

Tried a bit of arty processing on this simple leaf shot, A vignette and also a second vignette as a blur, and then sharpened the centre of the shot and dodged the centre also. Does it work?

Works for me. That is a very nice shot. It reminds me more of stained glass than a leaf.
Did you backlight it, or is that just the result of the dodging?

It was backlit yes, but also dodged it.

Unusually, for one one of your creations, it doesn't do it for me and without the written info', which reveals the effort that has gone into producing the image, I would probably have moved on without commenting.

I suggest that you consider converting to B&W and rotating the image so that the midrib is not orientated vertically.
