I was always told to photograph flowers on cloudy days to avoid harsh shadows. But the beauty of a bright sunny one is that you get the lovely blues of the skies.

Cloudy, sunny; it depends what you are after. You won't get these rich colours on a cloudy day. I look forward to seeing the open flower.
