Around Castle Hill

3 and 4 for me, John. I felt the landscapes could do with a bit of 'lifting' if you see what I mean. They don't seem to 'jump out' as much as 3 and 4 which I think are great.
Btw, isn't the DAF 28 - 105 a lovely lens to walk around with? I was in the Pentland Hills earlier in the week and it was the only lens I took. Nice and light and great pictures.

Be well, stay safe, but most of all, invest in memories

Thanks, Kevin. I take your point about the brightness. They look fine on my computer screen, but too dark on my phone.
And yes - the 28-105 is a real “do anything” lens. Tailor made for a day’s walkabout.

2 and 3 for me, especially 3. I like the contrast between the nearby bottom part of 2 and the increasing haziness with distance. Perhaps you could use a bit more of the bottom part to help it along?

Images 3 and 4 for me too. Winter trees are good subjects and in 4 I like the recession of trees visible under the main tree. If 3 were mine I would make another image all about the 'tunnel' by cropping away all the sky and far distant scene.

...I was thinking along the same lines
I wonder if cropping off the top third of no.3 (and maybe a little vignetting) would make it an even better image :

Thanks for the comments - and suggestions! It's always good to have alternative thoughts that may or may not have occurred already (and usually haven't!)
