Been asking myself the same... and still looking for the answer. When I find it, I'll be sure to tell you!

Lottery? I'm afraid its my turn this week. I told the guy in the shop that I'd be looking for my money back tomorrow if I didn't win and he said I would need to show my receipt. Curiously he then refused to give me one.
Can this be right?

Thanks John - I have now read it and would love to know how to get ISO 6400 & 12800 from it as they appear to have tested in the resolution and noise section. I have not found that option in the menus yet!

witchcraft Cayman.........LOL
I noticed it too.
One bit I did notice as well was that the reviewer was still trying to compare with a FF DSLR from CaNikon, And that you can get a D3x with a few lenses for the same price (yawn!)
To the reviewer on AP. IT IS A DIFFERENT BEAST TO A FF DSLR!!!!!!!!
They won't listen though.
I have heard from reliable sources though, that Damien (the Editor of AP) really rates the 645D. I just wish he wrote the article.

The comparison to a high end FF SLR is inevitable I'm afraid, whether or not it is warranted.
I thought it was a funny review. Kept on saying "it doesn't do X but then you wouldn't expect it to..." Eh? Oh well, wasn't a bad review and not many potential purchasers are likely to be swayed by AP. Any foray into medium format by yours truly is likely to be analogue not digital.

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

How true womble.
I must dust off my MF camera, if I can find why it won't move on the roll of film. Not a Pentax I'm afraid, its a Bronica....(shock horror )

The Luminous Landscapes review of the 645D vs the Phase 1 (and Canon 1Ds mkIII) was also pretty good - to quote the summary:
Quote:
I proposed this test to Mark hoping to prove that the Pentax was at least in the same league as the Phase – an instrument I have the utmost respect for. The final results are more than I had hoped for. In this field-test at least, there is nothing to separate the cameras beyond the 645D’s superior high ISO performance.

So, an odd review also in that it starts off very enthusiastically in style and then seems to suddenly throttle back and offer a more tempered conclusion nearer the end. Fortunately if we actually read the content as a whole it shows that the 645D is certainly looking good.
However am I going to afford one?
