Another Saturday

Was determined not to go birding this weekend and do something different instead. However I got up at 6am on Saturday and the sky was full of stars, not a cloud to be seen. So, I changed my mind in the hope of catching a Kingfisher in decent light. Fat chance. He paid a visit before the sun had risen high enough to chase the shadows. This one is at ISO 3200 with the Pentax 60-250 @ f4

Gave in after waiting another 3 hours for him to come back. Went home and took some pics of the birds in the garden with the Siggy 150-500. Don't know what the neighbours think I'm up to, hanging out the bedroom window.

Alan they are superb. ISO 3200 is good, where's the noise?
You had the same light as me chasing that steam train. It went from Newcastle to Newsham, Bedlington and Morpeth and back to Newcastle before going through Durham to Bishop Auckland and Stanhope.

Great shots Alan .I knew about the train but i was sat in the house trying to make sense of moon shots i had taken that morning in the car park at the footy club on South Newsham rd at 6AM. According to a friend the train was due at 8.20 on the old Blyth and Tyne line but i had to go home to see if Wales could beat the French.

Very good shots! The images display lovely colors and are very sharp. My favorites are 1 + 3.

Those are great! I wish I would be able to take pictures like that - the birds would so fly away from me.
I live in North Carolina learning about web development, Web Design, SEO and the use of photography tools.
