15 million cables (well OK not quite that many) now all reconnected, labelled and rolled up neatly with rip-ties.
We went out for dinner last night. I had wild boar, he had cod. Delicious.

Just finished our 1 hour Bird Watch as per usual - put out bread, seeds and goodies in abundance - very poor showing this year - even the pigeons kept away !!! Saw 6 Cyrils and a tiny weeny mouse though !
Went for a walk and on return they had been and scoffed the lot - bit of a Kit-Kat moment there !!
Took the K20 this week as we saw a heron last Sunday and got withing 12 feet of it - not a sign of anything today - didn`t fire off one shot - not my day I fear !!
Good try Andy - nobody would have beaten Djokovic on that form !!

Ah - thanks for giving me the result of THAT match Tony - don't need to go and find out now .
Am going to investigate the other 4 bottles of Cuvée Athelésie - I have a feeling that they may well be from 2 different years .
Certainly there was a colour change in last night's non-bottle - and that made me suspicious for starters

now I know why I'd problems last night - yup that case was indeed was bottles from from different years
Opened another tonight - dated 2005 and it was fine
So am enjoying chicken cooked with échalottes and wine and am now enjoying drinking my Athalésie
The rest of that bottle will be drunk tomorrow night
I'm not going to hang on to the last remaining bottle - it will be consumed fairly soon

Bags are packed (50-135 not travelling :wink.
I'm checked in for the flight. The dog has gone to kennel, where they have a nice girlfriend for him to shack up with while I'm away and I've just said goodbye to the grandsons.
I think I'm set.
So now I can sit back and wonder what I'm forgetting .

Safe flight. Seems like an odd thing to say to a duck!

Went to the dentist today for the first time in several years. Estimate is slightly more than the cost of a new K5.
In fact slightly more than the cost of two new K7s!
Ouch

My reasoning for the wine was that undrinkable and unuseable are different and because TT had not stated the wine type or the problem in detail I wanted her to know that all was not necessarily lost.
I bought a bottle of Chateau Latour Blanche and a Chateau Latour Red 1936 back in 1966 for my dad for £1-50 !!! - he always wanted to wait for the right moment to drink them !!!! Consequently when he died in 1997 I opened the red to find inky sludge rather like the old school inkwells and the Blanche I still keep on the wine rack as a memento - stupidly back in 1983 I was offered £1500 for them !!
Quite strange for a sweet wine to go "off" might have been a dodgy cork letting air in .You could always use it to make vinaigrette dressing ?
