The best alarm I have is an elderly Nokia Phone 3100 - the one with a luminous band round the control panel

This has a keypad that lights up on any activation and at night, before the alarm actually sounds - the keypad flashes for a few times and then you hear the alarm sounding. Normally just the keypad flashing wakes me

Finally watched Ponyo, it's an amazing movie (say someone who is 23 :blush.

If you like the Disney classics with a good story and don't mind the Japanese influence/culture then this a must watch imho.

It's about a... well a sort off magical goldfish and she escapes her fathers lab (he's some kind of biologist/magician) and gets found a by a boy.
The boy takes care for her and all kinds of things happen that off sets the balance of the earth, big storms and that sort of thing and they not really set out to restore the balance but they do so in the end.

It sounds very confusing and it indeed sound very confusing because it's so different then western movies and you just have to see it.
If you want a western movie that come close then it would be The Little Mermaid from Disney but sprinkled with fairy dust to add some more fantasy and magic

No idea why i'm doing a review here but who cares it's the pointless thread right

Oh yeah loved that one
Strangely enough nothing truly remarkable happen, not a hero that safe the world or someone i really desperate need, just a good slice of life.

Btw that one is from 1988, times really move fast...

Ghibli newest is The Borrower Arrietty based on the novel The Borrowers by Mary Norton.
Just don't know if it will be good or not, it isn't out yet here...
I didn't really like what they did with the Earthsea

Got Ponyo still to watch. Seen Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke, which I both liked. In fact, watching Avatar I kept thinking 'Pah! This is so ripped off Princess Mononoke!'

Much more intense and layered than any Disney film. Real spine tingling moments.

I hardly ever watch films. Of any sort.

Well except Cool Hand Luke and Dirty Harry. I watch them whenever they are on TV. And I did enjoy Mama Mia in a mindless sort of way Couldn't watch it a second time though.

I haven't been to the cinema in decades.
I just can't watch a whole film.
