I got glasses a couple of years ago. Hadn't really used them.
Put them on a couple of nights ago. Jeez, what a difference!
Might have to buy some decent ones now.

Well tonight is earmarked for a DVD, the second season of Continuum. This will be accompanied by a bottle of champagne. No celebration, but there's one there and it would be rude and neglectful to deny it its purpose.
Best regards, John

I've been decorating most of this week, Margaret is out tonight. So it is curry, beer and tele. But not necessarily in that order.

Have had an interesting couple of weeks. Best news was finally being discharged as a bowel cancer patient, although I will have a colonoscopy next year sometime. The camera club monthly outings have started up again so something to look forward too there and blood pressure etc was ok today at the diabetic check-up, due another doppler test so awaiting the appointment. Man Flu is just about out of my system. Other than that nothing of real note

Crikey Stan, that`s enough for any man to cope with. Glad you have been discharged, let`s hope you have the all clear. Enjoy the weekend.
Enjoy life

Well done Stan
I was discharged/ politely told to sod off by Christies last year as I became 10 year post cancer at that time
You will be well aware of how much you can cope with when you have no other choice - it certainly gives you a new perspective on life itself
Well done Sir

Thanks Stuey. I'm still part of the Protect study (prostate cancer) and have a yearly blood test and fill in a "life style" report.
Over the years in order of appearance:
Gout
Kidney out
Gall bladder out
Prostate out
Left hemi colonectomy (30 cm of bowel out)
Atrial Fibrillation (heart firing on 3 cylinders)
Slowly developing a cataract on my good eye
Just recovering from Man Flu and have thrown Organ Donor card in the bin.
Still mustn't grumble eh

Mustn't grumble
I am off the blood and organ donors list following major operations and chemotherapy
I don't feel that knackered
I have, however, post cancer run a half marathon 8 months after breaking my leg and damaging ligaments in a football match (cr@p 'football career' ending injury), climbed numerous mountains including rock climbing and generally enjoyed myself
Woo hoo

A continuation of Continuum. Try saying that after a bottle of bubbly.
