Another K10D newbie

Hi everyone,

Got my K10D with the 18-55 kit lens from Jessops last weekend along with a Tamron 70-300 zoom. It's my first DSLR, although I had a Canon AE-1 20+ years ago which I had great fun with. Haven't really done much with the K10D yet, still finding out all the different functions and where everything is. Like the sound of the various priority settings. I'll get some pictures posted soon and see what you all think.

Welcom Gordon - good to see you on the site and that you have found Pentax the right camera for you.

Don't know how much of the forum you've read yet but V1.3 of the software is available for the K10D. Install that and you'll get many happy hours out of your camera.

I've been reading the forum for a few days now and actually upgraded the firmware to V1.3 last night. I was a bit nervous about doing that to be honest, but it all went fine.
