A really good chance of seeing the aurora again, even in the south, as soon as it is dark enough!

A shame you couldn't make it Alan. I went searching for dark skies, but found only fireworks. It was clear overhead, but a layer of cloud blocked the horizon.
So I came home and drowned my sorrows.

Managed to get out after 10pm, so stayed local and got home before midnight. Unfortunately lost the lens hood from my Samsung version of the 12-24.

Anyway, here's a three shot panorama taken at 18mm with the Sigma 18-35mm

and I was stuck in a pub!

Just seen the shot and its excellent. I did notice how clear the sky was on the way back from the pub however but had not seen Gwyn's initial post.

Again, very good image and great colours.

Best regards
