Took a trip out Bank holiday Monday after work to Track Mon. Not been in year's and still not had a day without high winds!!
Here are a small selection of my efforts.
All taken with K3ii and 150-450mm.

Nice set, I like the ones where you can see their eyes and concentration through a clear visor.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Peter,
No support although I wish I had as it was blowing a gale and a struggle to stand up let alone take photo's. Believe me a lot ended in the bin!!

I used Shutter Priority on a variation of speeds ranging from 1/250 upwards.
In camera Anti Shake System I believe was off.

All my Aviation and sport photography are always handheld but on this occasion a mono pod etc may have helped.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. I recently aquired the 150-450 and have only used it a couple of times. I am glad I invested in a sturdy monopod as I wouldnt be able to cope with holding it for any length of time.

Interesting you turned SR off, which I believe was the norm when panning. Was this due to experience with panning shots ? I recently discovered the K1 which I now use has panning recognition built in....does the K3ii have the same system ?

Hi Peter,

Yes, the K3ii does have the same function and have used it with success on a number of occasions when photographing large prop planes at low level.

Even as a non motorsports fan, I can see the strong technique here, and the bikes all have impact, frame filling and dynamic. Good clarity and colour as well.
