Does anybody have any experience of these, either AA or AAA?

How do they compare to the standard Sanyo Eneloops.

"AmazonBasics" suggests a low cost range, whereas the Eneloops are considered best performers, so I wouldn't be surprised if no-one thought it an attractive option, on the face of it at least.

I'd never heard of the range, so I'll have a look out of interest.

Dunno, sorry. I've been disappointed by 7dayshop and Hama brands in the past and steer clear of "bargain" rechargeables (apart from lions for the K-5 )

However I used to use Vapex

Always worked fine and in tests they come out respectably

I've more recently used Panasonic which may or may NOT be rebadged enloops depending on which forums you read.

Again I've seen respectable test reviews.

Enloops also have a new X version with increased capacity but you pay more. http://www.batterystation.co.uk/Sanyo-Eneloop-XX-Rechargeable-AA-Batteries-2500-...

Also don't forget a decent charger to get the charge into the cell without degrading the cell. Recent research led me to putting this to the top of my wishlist.

Available on ebay too under different branded names.

12V and Mains, simple LED indicator and it works well.

I use Panasonic Evolta. I've been impressed by their ability to hold a charge. They were also the only rechargeables I could get to work on my son in laws K-200 - my standard 2450 mAh NiMH just wouldn't work despite being fairly new. I got the Evoltas from Maplin. They regularly have a sale on their rechargeables. I got 4 AA 2050 mAh for £6 if I remember correctly last summer.

Decent charger is not a problem Doug, I've used an Ansmann Energy8 with my Eneloops and 7Dayshop rechargeables with no problems so far.

I'll probably stick to Eneloops for now.

Panasonic own Sanyo but the Chinese made Panasonics aren't
as good as the MIJ ones that you used to be able to buy.

I've still got some Panasonic NiCads from 1992 which still
hold about 1620 mAh (stamped 2000 mAh) I use them in cameras
and flashguns without any problems.

Sanyo Eneloops are about the best today.
