Well my sky was bluer than yours, and there was more sun about. From memory 'reality' was something between my two, so I'll probably redo it at some point.Maybe a touch excessive. Here's a comparison, not saying mine is better though
I was really ruminating about whether, for something small such as an 800px web display, a little more than you'd do for a big print is legitimate, since the small size kills so much of the impact anyway.
I used to like Konica film for 6x4 prints since it tended to overdo the greens a bit, for the same reason.

Your right i try and give the smaller web pics a little more punch for the same reason you described. I was at the 12 Apostles in winter and remember the wind coming from antartica it was freezing. But wow what a beautiful place. In fact i don't think there is 12 apostles anymore a couple fell over about a year ago :

Well here they all are. The two at bottom left aren't included in the twelve, as I understand it. I can see nine, including the two collapsed stacks behind the first big one, with possibly a tenth one in the distance just before the first headland (not the really big one just before the horizon). In fact i don't think there is 12 apostles anymore a couple fell over about a year ago :

Too much? The distortion in the horizon clearly needed fixing, but do you think the rest is a bit excessive?
I think the contrast boos is fine, the white balance seems a little off on my screen though (too warm). Although if I remember correctly on the one sunny afternoon we had the sandstone was(is) very yellow indeed. Overall we had dull weather that July in 1996.

The correction of the sea on the left looks a bit odd. I would have cloned the top of the horizon from the other sire and used it as it is over saturated and looks like an odd thick line.
By the way, do you have one of 'London bridge'?

I noticed that, but it's not the result of the correction. The only thing I did to the horizon was correct the distortion evident in the first version, which is unmodified except for reducing to 800px wide and the same amount of USM as in the brighter version. The correction of the sea on the left looks a bit odd. Only a really bad one taken from the same helicopter flight.

Well, if you went back and took a picture in the same conditions you wouldn't have the CA caused by it any more
Chris that odd thick line seems to be present in both images so I'm not sure why it is so strikingly different to the rest of the horizon :S

It does look a bit odd, doesn't it. But it's not something I've done to it. Deeper sea? Edge of faint cloud allowing bluer light to be reflected?Chris that odd thick line seems to be present in both images so I'm not sure why it is so strikingly different to the rest of the horizon :S
I don't know, but it doesn't look as strange on this 100% crop of the original - just deeper sea is my guess:
