Lovely photo Simon.
It's been a while since I visited the Albert Dock.
Did you have to expose for long? (the camera I mean!)

Thanks Deryn,
It was 0.6s although I put the iso up to 400 as it was quite busy and I wanted the shot with no people..apart from Billy Fury on the right
What do you think of the starburst moon, I'm not quite sure about it to be honest

Hi Simon, funny you should mention the moon!
Before I posted my original comment, I put in a bit about the moon and then deleted it. I wasn't sure it was the moon at first until I saw the light reflecting on top of the clouds. I thought it looked too much like one of the street lights. It doesn't spoil or detract though.
So 0.6s and ISO 400 and that was slow enough to vanish the people?

Thanks Stuey,
Some of the ships were there Friday evening, together with lots of burger stands which spoiled photo opportunities quite a bit so I was pleased to get one shot at least.
Looks like it will be a great event Stuey, allow plenty of time though as it took me 45 minutes just to get from the tunnel to Albert Dock and it wasn't anywhere near as busy as it's going to be tomorrow..in fact it it was me I'd catch the ferry across from the Wirral
Have a great day

Not to vanish them but just enough time for me to get the shot in between those passing through...surprising what a difference a few seconds make

Wow, you did well not getting people in the shot then.
