Sorry, Julien,
Been through the whole User guide, and had a good look at the menus, but alas, no alarm clock. Great little camera, though, but I do miss the optical viewfinder.
Cheers

You could always try looking for an alarm clock that takes pictures. And makes a cup of coffee. And irons a shirt. In fact, why stop there? Give your wife a camera. Then you'll have a true multi-function device.

I know it may sound silly, but I would like to know if there is an alarm on the s5n...
I know this function existed in one of the precedent version (perhaps the s5i), and I know the s5n handles a world time clock.
And some French websites tells about this function, but could a user confirm that ?
I've waited a lot to finally get the darker version of the s5n, the one that is only sold in Asia, but if there is no alarm, I might as well go for the Canon Ixus 50 (sd 400 ?)...
I don't take my mobile when backpacking... but an alarm can be useful anyway !
Thank you
Julien
