You can't have any regrets with a "miss" like that the mood is captured beautifully in the pre-storm image, the 2 post storm have gorgeous colouring too

Those pre- and post-storm pictures - wow, wow, WOW!!!! And you did manage to get a storm picture even if that great red spot on Jupiter is only a fraction of a pixel in the last picture .
And please send some lashing rain down south. Water butts are only useful if there's occasional rain to top them up... .

What you need are lenses, more lenses, bigger lenses, better lenses, faster lenses, vintage lenses and when you have these, your pictures will be perfect!

The astro shots are so clean! Must have been a nice clear night after the downpour.

All I can say is.... HAVE YOU ANY IDEA HOW BLOODY HARD IT IS?!?!?!?!?!
Apart from getting deafened by a huge thunder crack right over my head (I did pooh myself slightly). This was followed by a torrential slashing it down session. It was enjoyable tho, because of the high octaine weather scaring the crap out of me!
But I did manage to capture the calm before, and after the storm!
This one is pre-storm
These two are post storm
Last night I was also out all night star gawking, and these came out.
This is the constellation Cygnus
