As some may know a couple of weeks ago Amazon had this flash at 111 delivered. I got mine today in the most undamaged box I've ever seen. Not a wrinkle - however the manual is in French! Oh dear - anyone else had this? I can't complain as the price was incredible.

Not to worry - Pentax helpfully publish their product manuals online. Here is the link you need I think...

Thanks. I have spent the last hour trying to get both my AF540 and the new one to act as slaves - I have it figured now but I had been baffled! I always have found trying to learn flash baffling.

Tigershoot - exactly the same happened to me as I nabbed one too.

I contacted Amazon who advised:

Not to worry re the Warranty saying to contact Pentax France, as Amazon themselves would deal with any Warranty issues.

They are looking into whether they can supply me with an English manual & will get to me in 48 hours ( so I am expecting Monday). I have already downloaded the English manual PDF to our PC and smartphones ( for when out & about) but would like to have the paper version if I can, even if just for completness should I resell at a later date.

Problem solved, I know, but this site may be of use to others as it claims to have a lot of manuals available - at a price!:link
K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)
