Firstly, how much gear has it got to carry?
I like the Lowepro Nova series - they're rugged, light, well padded and waterproof. Plus you can customise the internal layout in a mind-boggling number of ways to suit your kit. They have long shoulder straps as well as a top hand grip and the strap itself is well padded and comfortable. Best of all they're very reasonably priced and come in a range of sizes.
Which kinda goes back to the original question; how much gear has it got to carry?

Two questions, the first already was just mentioned, what are you going to be carrying with this bag, and the second question, what is you price range for the bag? Both are important in helping make any recommendation.
Also do you have a camera shop nearby that is well stocked? If so you may want to drop in and try the bags for feel and style. I could recommend a number of brands and bags, but seeing it in person and playing with it will always be the deciding factor.

Looking for a new CAMERA BAG. I don't wish a back-back or top loader types.
Thanks for your advise,
